The Monarch Butterfly Project

In an effort to show solidarity with our immigrant and refugee neighbors, The Linden Hills Neighborhood Council (LHiNC) invites neighbors to display the symbol of the monarch butterfly visibly and proudly from their homes. Monarch butterflies make a long and difficult migration between Southern Mexico and Northern United States and Canada and represent the resilience, hope, and beauty of the journey migrants take.

There are two ways to participate in this neighborhood initiative:

  1. Purchase a yard sign ($15) or poster ($5)

    a. pickups will take place at the Linden Hills Recreation Center (details will be emailed after purchase)

    b. all proceeds above cost will go to Unidos MN

  2. Get crafty and print off or design own butterfly at home! Download some free butterfly designs here.

With Heartfelt now closed, the make-your-own painted Monarch butterfly craft has ended.

Thank you Liam McMonagle for creating the butterfly designs used in this project.
