Meet the 2026 LHiNC Board Applicants

  • Olivia Hetletvedt

One of my goals is to connect with more neighbors and create opportunities for others in the community to connect with one another. I would also like to help build a stronger sense of safety, belonging, and community where neighbors feel comfortable looking out for and supporting one another. Ultimately, I hope to help keep our neighborhood clean, welcoming, and safe for everyone.

  • Donald Wheeler

I have lived in Linden Hills / Fulton neighborhood since 2002. I am recently retired and looking for ways to add some structure to my retirement world by participating community.

I'm a diversity and inclusion advocate. I was drawn to this neighborhood because of community-based environment and its growth with stability.

  • Jan Wikman

I have been a resident of Linden Hills for 10 years and I love being a part of this community! My background is in sales, marketing and event management. I am currently on the Board of the Linden Hills Townhouse Association and The Minnesota Airstream Park. I served on the YWCA Minneapolis Board for six years and the Lake Harriet Spiritual Center Board for nine years.

I am actively involved with some of the Linden Hills businesses, and I would like to help promote and support the continuing success of these businesses. I believe it is important to continue developing new opportunities for residents to participate in our community. People love it here, and we can help foster their participation.

  • Amol Dixit

I've lived in Minneapolis for 27 years and in Linden Hills for the past 16 years. My wife and I have two kids (9th and 7th grades), both in MPS (Southwest and Anthony). I'm a real estate professional by day and a restauranteur by night (Bussin Birria Tacos). My wife and I realize how lucky we are to have made a home in this neighborhood. We live on a magical block (3900 block of Beard Ave S), and we don't take everything Linden Hills has to offer for granted. I'm very involved in the community (Children's Theatre Company Board of Directors, MPS sports teams fundraisers at the restaurant that I own, one of the organizers of our block's National Night Out variety show), and I'm looking for opportunities to get even more involved in this wonderful neighborhood.

I am concerned that if Lake Harriet Lower Campus closes next year, there will be a shift away from young families in the immediate neighborhood. I hope Linden Hills remains as magical as it is today, with something for everybody.

  • Cyrus Vahhaji

I've been a resident of Linden Hills at my current address since 2001. My 19 yo twins were born and raised in LH, graduating from SW High School with honors and currently attending Emory and Cornell Universities. What attracted me to LH is the proximity of all needed in daily life within walking distance. Not to mention the public parks, the lakes, bike paths and many social events held at various parks. I feel blessed having all these amenities a stones throw away from where I reside. Prior to living in LH I lived in a small ski town of 1500 people in Colorado. Living in LH closely resembles where I used to live which I've grown to cherish over the years. I also appreciate all the many small establishments which I've had the privilege of knowing the proprietors in which their values are aligned with mine. While my twins were attending Mpls public schools, I often volunteered during lunch hours, helped with math class, board member of the senior party helping organize entertainment, and treasurer of the track team. I'm a certified ski instructor and helped with MAST ski club coaching the racers and also help update their website. I have background in IT and currently a realtor.

  • Isabella Martinez

I am a deeply community-oriented neighbor who enjoys engaging with my surroundings through running, biking, and walking throughout the neighborhood. I try to be intentional during these outings by paying attention to the accessibility and quality of local infrastructure while also taking opportunities to connect with neighbors. I am also a member of Mill City Running Club and the YMCA, both of which allow me to combine my interests in exercise and community engagement.
