Fostering Urban Networks Committee (Linea Palmisano, Chair)

The goal of this committee is to strengthen our community by connecting individuals, organizations, institutions and businesses and forging new partnerships and alliances that develop and increase sustainability.

Neighborhood Safety Sub-Committee (Juan Carlos Ruisenor, Chair)

Linden Hills is a neighborhood with a long history as a stable community which thrives on it’s distinctive charisma and traditions; safety is also a key priority for the Linden Hills Neighborhood Council. We are focused on keeping crime down so that our neighborhoods and parks will continued to be enjoyed without fear by residents and guests alike.

Block Leader Sub-Committee (Casey Collins, Chair)

Block leaders are important citizens in our community and have the opportunity to play several roles in the neighborhood, such as:

  • welcoming new neighbors to the community
  • heading up social efforts like National Night Out
  • leading safety efforts through the local police precinct block leader program
  • coordinating neighborhood volunteer opportunities
  • helping organize neighborhood specific events and programs such as the Linden Hills Festival or the local compost pilot program

It is important for Linden Hills to have strong block leader programs to help keep people informed about neighborhood volunteer opportunities, social happenings, and local safety issues. Plus it is a good opportunity for you to have some fun helping others, meeting new people, and staying connected to the neighborhood.

If you are interested in becoming a block leader or have questions about the roles and responsibilities of our Linden Hills block leaders please contact Casey Collins at 612-929-2837 or by email at caseycollinsnyc@hotmail.com.
